HOWARD KOTCHIE

Howard Kotchie was born in Toronto. An Associate Insurance Broker specializing in commercial insurance, Howard and his wife Wendy celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in May of 2000. They are proud parents of 12 year old Amanda and Jeffrey who is 10.

Howard bowled for over 30 years, was a member of the Toronto Association for more than 20 years and amassed some incredible statistics. He has had a season average of 226, bowled 13 -300 games, including 1 in FIQ competition, which represents one of the first ever bowled in the American Zone competition. Howard shot 3 - 299 games, 2 - 298 games, 1 - 800 series and more than 100 - 700 series. He had 6 - 11 in a row games and he converted the 4-6-7-10 split.

Howard competed in 10 Local and Provincial Association Tournaments winning the Scratch Division 6 times locally and twice at the provincial level. He participated in 12 - 700 Tournaments where he had a first place finish in the scratch division. He holds 1 gold and 1 silver medal from C.T.F. Nationals and has 4 medals from F.I.Q. Zones. A participant in the World Cup, Howard was Lilac Scratch Challenge Champion in 1988, Pins Game Champion in 1995-96 and C.T.F. Bowler of the Year and Canadian National Champion in 1992.

A Team Canada Member from 1988 to 1994, Howard represented Canada in Singapore, Mexico, and the U.S.A., and was a Gold Medalist at the Tournament of the Americas.

Howard was a GTTBA Bowler of the Year and was a member of the All Star Team 6 times.
