GRAYDON ROBINSON

Graydon “Blondie” Robinson was born in Kirkland Lake but the family moved to Southern Ontario when he was quite young. He grew up participating in the small ball game and did not take up our sport until moving to Toronto in 1958.

Blondie, a high average bowler, has 1 perfect game, 3 – 299 games and 1 – 11-in-a-row game to his credit.

Blondie has participated in 20 Local Association Championships and has 18 championships and out of 10 Provincial Championships he has collected 4 championships

Blondie won the World Cup in 1969 in Tokyo and competed in two other World Cups in 1970 and 1978.

Blondie has been a member of 5 G.T.T.B.A. All Star Teams and was selected Bowler of the Year on one occasion.

Blondie was elected to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in 1971 and was the first tenpin bowler so honoured.

Blondie served on our Board of Directors from 1970 to 1973 and was elected to Life Membership in 1970.
