DIANNE BRYSON

Dianne Bryson was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Trained at Ryerson Institute of Technology, she has been a Graphic Design Artist for more than 25 years. Dianne is the mother of three children, Jim, Michelle and Michael who are all participants in the sport of Tenpins.

A member of the Greater Toronto Women’s Bowling Association for 27 years, Dianne competed in 20 city tournaments winning the double event in 2000 with her daughter-in-law, Ana Bryson and also in 2000 she took second place in the Mixed Doubles Tournament with her son Michael Bryson. She has competed in 15 WIBC National Tournaments placing third in the doubles event with long time GTWBA Board member, Ena Tulloch.

In 1984 and 1987 Dianne competed in the Tournament of the Americas and won a total of 6 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. Competing in 15 provincial Tournaments, she was a first place winner in the All-Events Scratch division. Dianne has participated in 20 Queen’s divisional Tournament and has had 3 first place finishes. She has participated in 3 GTTBA 700 Club Tournaments, 20 Toronto 600 Club Tournaments winning twice and 6 CTF Nationals. She also participated in 10 World cup Tournaments at the National Level.

Over the years, she has had four 275 and over games, two 700 series and twenty-two 650 series. Dianne has a 10 year composite average of 187 and has been the Greater Toronto Women’s bowling Association Bowler of the Year 3 times.

Also active administratively at league level, Dianne has served as President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Sergeant-at-Arms. Dianne is a certified coach.
